Reporting to the Community Fundraising Manager, the Community Fundraising Coordinator is a vital role responsible for supporting and growing the community of RFDS fundraisers in WA through digital and traditional fundraising methods. This role is a pivotal advocate and ambassador for the RFDS and the communities we serve. It is accountable for managing relationships with community groups, supporting community events and hosting RFDS events and community engagement activities such as regional visits to drive impactful fundraising initiatives.

About you

Exemplary understanding and demonstration of customer relationship management, interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
The ability to maintain exceptional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and fundraising supporters and advocates
Ability to make change to achieve successful outcomes
Ability to execute a strategy, whilst thinking and acting operationally and exercising sound judgement
Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate complex deadlines and priorities
Sound budget tracking and management skills
Experienced, proficient and confident user of Microsoft Office
Knowledge of and experience with CRM systems, specifically Raisers’ Edge
Degree qualification (or) significant relevant industry and positional experience
A minimum of three to five years’ experience in a similar field (fundraising, community engagement and/or event management)
“C’ Class Driver’s Licence

About the role
Maintain and build lasting relationships with community stakeholders to maximise community engagement and fundraising opportunities
Lead the design and implementation of innovative, strategic fundraising campaigns, leveraging both traditional and digital channels to grow the Community Fundraising portfolio
Work with the Community Fundraising Manager to build and implement Community Fundraising strategies.
Provide support for third party community fundraising events and activities
Collaborate internally to develop community engagement and fundraising resources
Monitor and evaluate fundraising activities to contribute to strategy and identify opportunities and system improvements
Effective use of online Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) to accurately reflect interactions and community fundraising activities
Provide administration and coordination support for community fundraising events and activities including donor correspondence, issuing authority to fundraise forms, distributing appropriate fundraising resources, thank you cards, certificates and receipts

The mission of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is to provide excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across Western Australia. In 2024, the RFDS is launching a new five-year strategy ‘Above and Beyond’, which will mark an important new chapter in the long Flying Doctor history. The strategy will include a focus on expanding remote health clinics in some of WA’s most vulnerable communities, expanding our profit-for-purpose services, strengthening our workforce, harnessing technology and addressing our environmental sustainability.
