Description

The Business Systems Administrator role involves providing support, administration, and escalation for RFDS Aviation Management solutions, including the Operations & Safety Management System (Air Maestro) and Training Management (CrewDocs), as well as secondary support for other business applications.
As the main point of contact, the role is responsible for problem management, continuous management and process improvement, data and system integrity, and release and change management. The Business Systems Administrator is an integral part of the Digital and Technology team for the RFDS Queensland Section, providing support for our aviation staff, including Pilots, Nurses, and Doctors.

The Business Systems Administrator is a permanent full-time position based at the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Corporate Office in Brisbane.
  
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities:

  • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for aviation systems and customer experience
  • Investigate operational needs, problems and opportunities and recommend improvements across the systems and processes
  • Assist project teams with solutions related to aviation
  • Record activities by updating tickets/records with progress updates and actions taken
  • Transition-to-Production activities such as providing support advice and knowledge articles
  • Develop test scenarios to validate new/updated applications and processes to identify efficiencies
  • Ensuring all requests are dealt with according to agreed procedures
  • Determine and monitor problems in systems and assist with recommendations and the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures
  
Who we are looking for?
We're looking for a system administrator who is a team player and who communicates openly and confidently. In addition, you will demonstrate-
  • Experience with supporting aviation management solutions relating to resource planning/rostering, compliance, safety and incident management, training and reporting. Air Maestro experience would be highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and support skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment and prioritise tasks, whilst maintaining attention to detail
  • Self-driven, mature attitude, able to work independently
  • Ability to become a SME for aviation systems with primary emphasis on  AirMaestro  
  • ITSM, ITBM, CMDB knowledge
  • Service Desk or Customer Support experience
  • Experience in release management (including Testing & Change management), problem and incident management)

Qualifications/Registrations
  • Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration or similar
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Current QLD Drivers Licence
