Description

We’re excited to offer a new opportunity for an Administration Officer to join our Townsville team. We’re seeking a self-motivated, confident, and positive individual who will assist our Base Support Manager to enable our Nursing, Aviation, Engineering, Community and Dental teams on a permanent, part-time basis (up to 0.7 FTE) with the potential to increase hours in response to business requirements. 

Duties include:

  • Reception (customer service, mailbox management, and incoming calls)
  • General administration/base support for the Nursing, Engineering, Community and Aviation teams (data entry, petty cash and banking, freight dispatch, stationery and kitchen supply ordering)
  • Coordination of travel bookings
  • Assisting with Base tours and greeting visitors to the base
  • Area Fire Warden support to Chief Fire Warden
 Who are we looking for?
  • Certificate II in Administration (desirable)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Administration role
  • Proven ability to handle challenging operational situations by utilising well-developed problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve team-based outcomes
  • The ability to work autonomously
  • Highly competent in maintaining confidentiality
