Description
The RFDS QLD People & Culture team operates in a supportive team environment where effective communication and positivity thrives. We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and highly organised People and Culture (P&C) Officer to join our team to coordinate and deliver a range of People services to help the People & Culture team run efficiently and provide high-level customer service in a unique environment that combines healthcare and aviation to save lives every day.
You'll be working alongside a team of highly skilled P&C Business Partners and Advisors who specialise in supporting leaders to resolve people-related matters, who all enjoy mentoring the HR Practitioners of the future.
This role will see you supporting our people by:
- Producing employment contracts, reports, and other workforce-related documentation supporting the employee lifecycle
- Coordinating the employment changes and offboarding processes for employees
- Updating and maintaining HR-related systems and files
- Being our first port of call for people queries responding in an appropriate and timely manner
We are also implementing a new payroll and HR Information System, and you will be a key part of the implementation of this project!

As a member of our team, you'll be there for our people with a friendly and understanding attitude. We are looking for a person that has the willingness to learn and a keen interest in HR, as well as bring fresh eyes to continually develop our offering for the RFDS team. We want you to bring:
- An exceptional customer service approach and a can-do attitude
- A finely tuned attention to detail in the production of written content or documentation (Accuracy is key!)
- Ability to work productively while managing multiple competing priorities to meet allocated SLAs
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Suite programs including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and OneNote
