Description
Ready to make a meaningful impact? Join our multi-award-winning Fundraising & Philanthropy team at the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) as a Business Development Specialist and play a key role in driving our corporate partnerships and fundraising efforts!
In this pivotal position, you will focus on recruiting corporate teams for our national Oceans to Outback fundraising campaign and securing sponsorships for our RFDS-led events and campaigns. Your contributions will directly support the Fundraising & Philanthropy team in meeting its revenue goals.
As the Business Development Specialist, you will:
- Recruit corporate teams for the national RFDS Oceans to Outback campaign.
- Expand corporate support and drive fundraising efforts for the RFDS.
- Secure sponsorships for RFDS Queensland-led events and campaigns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate stakeholders.
- Identify new sponsorship and partnership opportunities to contribute to revenue targets.
You'll be a strategic, proactive thinker with a proven track record in business development and corporate engagement. If you’re passionate about making a difference and are excited by the opportunity to work on meaningful campaigns, this is the role for you!
- A minimum of a university degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, with 3-5 years of relevant experience in business development, corporate partnerships, or fundraising.
- A strong track record of securing sponsorships and managing corporate relationships within a nonprofit or similar environment, with exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Experience in managing events or campaigns, with the ability to plan and execute successful initiatives.
- Ability to build relationships at all levels of an organisation, communicate effectively with diverse audiences, and tailor messages to different stakeholders.
- A self-motivated professional with a passion for making a difference, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work well in a team, all while staying focused on achieving goals.
