Description
Due to exciting internal projects and organisation growth, an opportunity has become available for a Payroll Officer to help support our team on a full-time, max term basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the team’s success by offering payroll and administrative support, ensuring compliance, and helping to achieve accuracy in every payroll cycle!
As Payroll Officer, your role will assist with the smooth and accurate processing of the fortnightly payroll, for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) employees while enabling team members to work on essential project deliverables.
You will report directly to the Payroll Lead and be responsible for:
- Assisting with the accurate and timely processing of fortnightly pay runs.
- Prepare and analyse reports.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records.
- Respond to, support and resolve payroll queries.
- Support the Payroll team with administrative tasks as required
- Support the implementation of the new Payroll/HRIS system
We’re seeking a versatile individual who is excited to contribute to a high-performing, supportive team, all while having fun! With a positive, can-do attitude, you’ll meet the following criteria:
- 1-3 years of experience in an administrative or finance role
- A proven ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience with payroll systems and understanding of related processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and OneNote
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with a strong focus on providing high-quality service and attention to detail
