About the Role

As a business intelligence specialist, you'll collaborate with business managers and external partners to truly understand RFDS Victoria’s needs. You will develop and deliver cutting-edge insights that drive smart decision-making as well as exploring and taking advantage of the latest advancements in data and analytics, including AI, to keep RFDS Victoria at the forefront of technology.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Support senior executives to interpret results and make data-driven recommendations based on business, industry, economic and demographic trends
- Prepare, develop and maintain a comprehensive suite of reporting, models, data-marts and dashboards on complex operational activities for senior management and key stakeholders
- Liaise with internal and external parties regarding the provision of data, building and sharing of insights and reports
- Identify and address issues impacting the integrity of data, undertaking analysis and reporting to satisfy business requirements
- Review systems and processes making suggestions for automation and efficiency improvements

To be successful, you will need:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science or Information Technology and/or a minimum 3 years of equivalent professional experience as a Business Analyst
- Ability to understand complex technical concepts and present them in simple terms to non-technical team members and stakeholders
- Experience with Analytics and Business Intelligence platforms such as Tableau and Power BI
- Experience with IT applications and software delivery projects
- Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail and excellent analytical abilities
- Ability to problem solve, think critically and multitask in a fast-paced environment. 
- Ability to drive in metropolitan and rural areas
- Satisfactory completion of a current Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, a current Driver License and the right to work in Australia.
