About this Opportunity

Our Darwin Tourist Facility provides an opportunity for the public to learn about the history, staff, and patients of the Royal Flying Doctor Service and their heroic stories, in a technology driven and interactive environment.

As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be responsible for providing an outstanding customer experience in the way you greet, welcome, and guide visitors throughout the Tourist Facility.

In this role, you will be motivated to:
- Assist and host tourist groups through the facility.
- Facilitate school visits, educational and local community events and activities.
- Manage advanced bookings with a quality customer service focus.
- Assist with stock control, pricing, storage and displaying of merchandise, as well as stocktake duties as required.
- Complete point of sale RFDS SA/NT merchandise purchases and provide a positive, lasting experience for all visitors.
- Assist with keeping the Tourist Facility clean and tidy.

About You

To be considered for this role you require:
- A bright and enthusiastic personality.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and an ability to speak confidently to groups.
- Previous retail sales and point of sale/cash handling experience.
- Exceptional customer service and organisational skills.
- A high level of integrity, punctuality, and reliability.
- Previous experience in the Tourism Industry is preferred but not essential.
- Flexibility to work a roster Monday to Sunday with hours varying between 8:45AM– 5:15PM (weekend work and public holiday work may be required).
