The RFDS has pivoted its business model and in addition to retrieval care, it is expanding its service delivery in primary care. Warren and Gilgandra were the first two practices to come on board and Condobolin opened their practice earlier this year. There are another 15 rural communities with populations between 800 - 10000 that have reached out and have asked if the RFDS can provide primary care to their communities.

RFDS is looking to employ a group of regular doctors to perform a mix of face-to-face as well as telehealth services (with no VMO work unless you want it). We believe that we can create a sustainable general practice model to support rural communities.
