About this Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Clinical Manager, as a Low Acuity Flight Nurse, you will be motivated to work in a diverse, fulfilling and rewarding environment to deliver outstanding patient care.

Specifically, you will:
Provide direct high quality and compassionate patient centred nursing care within an aeromedical environment.
Recognise and respond to clinically deteriorating patients and escalate care appropriately
Assist in the coordination of the transfer of patients in collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure the provision of a safe and high-quality service whilst maintaining continuity of care
Perform comprehensive handovers of patient(s) to receiving health service or care provider
Liaise as required with RFDS teams and other health services multi-disciplinary teams regarding the clinical condition of the patient to ensure patient safety.
About You
You are:
A healthcare professional who takes pride in delivering high quality nursing care
An outstanding communicator with the ability to make decisions in high pressure situations
Professional in your approach to service delivery and able to work collaboratively with other professionals to provide high quality health care
To be considered for the role you require:
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
A minimum of 5 years’ acute nursing experience including in emergency and/or intensive care nursing
Demonstrated compliance with NT Health Occupational Vaccination requirements
Your application would be enhanced by a:
Post Graduate Qualification (or working towards) in Critical Care or Emergency Nursing
Graduate Certificate in Aeromedical Retrieval
