Have you always dreamed of working for Australia's Aeromedical health service but do not meet the Retrieval Nurse position requirements to be endorsed as a Midwife?

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is now providing an exciting opportunity for suitably qualified Registered Nurses to access a limited number of Midwifery Scholarships. 

The scholarships offer financial assistance towards a post-graduate diploma of midwifery. Successful applications are required to complete the specified course and then work for a minimum of one year at one of the five RFDS bases in WA, selected by the organisation. 

These scholarships are to be used for costs associated with your study towards a Midwifery Qualification in 2024/25 such as course fees, text books, etc.

Selection Criteria:

- Registered General Nurse with AHPRA Registration
- Emergency Nursing or Critical Care Certificate / experience
- Significant relevant postgraduate nursing experience
- Acceptance into a midwifery course conducted by an approved and accredited provider
- A willingness to work at any RFDS location in Western Australia as designated by RFDS (Western Operations)
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency in Australia
