People and Culture Business Partner
Reporting to the Senior People and Culture Business Partner, we’re looking for a People and Culture Business Partner (0.9 FTE) to provide high quality generalist operational support across the entire employee lifecycle. As a trusted advisor, you will partner with leaders to deliver tailored people solutions, including workforce planning, employee relations, employee engagement and culture initiatives, and capability development. Your focus will be on driving organizational performance, enhancing employee engagement, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

As a People and Culture Business Partner at the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations), you thrive in a collaborative and dynamic environment. You have a strong foundation in human resources, with proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and workforce planning.
You are skilled at building trusted relationships, providing sound guidance, and driving initiatives that support business objectives.

About the role
- Partner with leaders to provide expert advice and coaching on all facets of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to performance management.
- Manage complex workplace issues, guide performance and grievance matters, and ensure compliance with Australian workplace laws and industrial agreements.
- Develop and implement workforce planning strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Support leaders in managing change initiatives and fostering team engagement.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization’s people strategies, including diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement by reviewing and refining people processes and practices.
- Collaborate with leaders to build leadership capability and support decision-making.
- Participate in key projects that enhance workplace culture and team effectiveness.

- Salary packaging - up to $15,900 per annum for everyday expenses and up to $2,650 per annum on meals and entertainment expenses

About Us
The mission of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is to provide excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across Western Australia. Every member of the RFDS WO team contributes to that mission and living our values of showing respect, demonstrating fairness, utilising diversity and being safe. Every year, the RFDS WO provides urgent retrieval for about 10,000 patients in regional WA. A further 10,000 appointments are provided in primary healthcare clinics in remote communities, including GP, nurse, dental and mental health care. RFDS crews are committed to providing the finest care to the furthest corners of the State, using the highest standards of clinical care, aviation safety and technology to make a difference to people living and working across WA – the largest and most remote health jurisdiction in the world.
The RFDS in WA operates five bases in Perth, Broome, Port Hedland, Kalgoorlie and Meekatharra. Our 24/7 operations centre at Jandakot Airport coordinates complex logistics for patient retrievals and clinics across the State. We work in partnership with government, business and the community, and are proud to work on Country with Aboriginal medical services and many local service providers.
In 2024, the RFDS WO launched a new five-year strategy ‘Above and Beyond’, which will mark an important new chapter in the long Flying Doctor history. The strategy will include a focus on expanding remote health clinics in some of WA’s most vulnerable communities, expanding our profit-for-purpose services, strengthening our workforce, harnessing technology and addressing our environmental sustainability.
