About this Opportunity


Reporting directly to the Manager of Primary Health Care, you will be responsible for providing assessment and treatment services for people living in rural and remote areas to optimise their health outcomes. This will be achieved by working collaboratively with the RFDS Primary Health Care team where you will form a dedicated role in the provision of services under the Integrated Primary Care Service program (CSAPHN).

Specifically, you will:

Use professional knowledge and skills to provide assessments, interpret findings, and plan and promote active rehabilitation plans in conjunction with the client, carers, and other health professionals.
Develop innovative and individualised treatment plans.
Manage a diverse caseload across a range of service settings, including aged care, remote stations, remote health clinics, Indigenous populations, and culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
Ensure community participation in the development, delivery and evaluation of the services provided by the primary mental health care team.


About You


You are:

An AHPRA registered Physiotherapist with competent assessment and treatment techniques.
Able to develop innovative and individualised treatment plans.
Experienced in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service standards.
Strong in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experienced in rural/remote/population health and in a cross-cultural environment

To be considered for the role you require:

Postgraduate experience of at least three years in the clinical management of a broad range of conditions.
Previous experience in manual therapy, promoting active rehabilitation, and providing injury prevention education to clients.
