About the Role
Join us as a Project/Research Manager and become a driving force behind groundbreaking research initiatives! In this dynamic role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of innovative research projects across our organisation. Your first major endeavour will be leading a world-first telehealth booth project, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with our business goals, timelines, and budgets. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams across the institution, engage stakeholders effectively, and apply your technical expertise to spearhead this and future pioneering projects. With a focus on identifying creative solutions, maintaining clear communication throughout all phases, and upholding our high standards and industry best practices, you'll play a crucial role in the success of research projects for RFDS Victoria.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Develop comprehensive project plan, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables for health projects and new service design.
- Manage the end-to-end execution of the project, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and established protocols.
- Monitor project progress rigorously and implement corrective measures as needed to address challenges.
- Oversee budget management, resource allocation, and financial tracking to ensure efficient use of funds and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports, including progress updates, risk assessments, and financial summaries to management and external stakeholders.
- Document findings in a clear and accessible manner for publication.
To be successful, you will need:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent experience in healthcare and technical solutions project delivery.
- Post Grad qualification in Health with a research focus and/or component.
- Minimum of 5 years of formal project leadership in various life-cycle management methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a number of concurrent projects and adapt to changes in the work environment.
- Experience in contract development, negotiation, and execution.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate research findings and insights through published works.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise, and logical manner.
- Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Drivers Licence, National Police Check, and the right to work in Australia.
