About this Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager of Aviation, as the Technical Services Engineer, you will be responsible for the introduction of our new PC12 aircraft into RFDS SA/NT operation, in addition to the disposal of end-of-life PC12’s.

We believe our people – all of our people – keep the Royal Flying Doctor Service flying.

Specifically, you will:
- Drive aircraft modifications, engineering and pilot training, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, OEM technical documents and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage the development of mission specific aeromed fit outs to ensure that the best mission platform possible is provided.
- Interact with OEMs as required to obtain, or provide, information or cooperation as required to achieve the objectives.

About You
You are:
- Experienced working in the aviation industry.
- An experienced Project Manager with a record on delivering results.
- Equipped with an understanding of aircraft maintenance programs.
- Knowledgeable in CASA regulations around the maintenance control requirements of the RFDS aircraft fleet.
- Able to determine priorities and achieve deadlines.
- Able to effectively communicate and develop relationships across a diverse range of people.
- Experienced with Smartsheet and the Microsoft product suite.
- Experienced with developing aviation technologies such as drones, eVtol aircraft and new fuel opportunities.

To be considered for the role you require:
- A previous or current CASA Engineering License/s appropriate to RFDS fleet or are an accredited and experienced Aeronautical Engineer.
- A working knowledge of the Civil Aviation Act of 1988 and 1998, Civil Aviation Regulations (as appropriate) and airworthiness requirements.
- Advanced computer skills.
