About this Opportunity

In consultation with the Tourism Manager the Tourism Engagement Coordinator is responsible for strategic co-ordination, implementation and management of digital business, marketing and retail platforms for the Alice Spring RFDS Tourist facility.

This integral role specifically involves:
- enhancing tour operator and buying agents booking engagement;
- enhancing tour operator and buying agents booking processes;
- enhancing the facility tourist experience;
-enhancing and protecting the RFDS brand, image and reputation throughout Alice Springs and Central Australia; and
-assisting the planning, preparation and facilitation of approved RFDS fundraising activities in Central Australia.


About You

You are:
- An innovative and creative person, with the ability to develop and run with ideas from initial concept through to successful fruition.
- A strong communicator, with a passion for building, developing, and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of people within the community.
- Driven, organised and self-motivated to prioritise competing tasks and meet challenging deadlines.
- A team player, able to work within a small dynamic team environment.

To be considered for the role you require:

- Proven work experience operating in a similar role acquiring and developing successful engagement programs.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of strategy, delivered on time and to budget.
- A background in business development, fundraising or tourism and a genuine desire to champion the RFDS.
- Degree qualifications in Tourism, Project Management or Marketing or significant relevant industry experience.
- Proficient marketing, design and computer literacy capabilities.
