The one and only Ann McLeish is back and we invite you to help her cross the finishing line.

Ann

76-year-old Narrogin woman Ann is battling the high winds and rain to walk 185km from Dongara to Newdegate to raise vital funds for her beloved Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) in Western Australia.

Ann has been fundraising for the RFDS for the past 13 years, raising $221,717.10 in that time by rattling donation tins at regional community events and activating fundraiser walks.

Just last year, Ann rallied her family members, local schools and businesses to walk with her and sponsor her walk from Narrogin to Newdegate which saw her raise just over $26,000.

A well-known figure in WA’s southern regions, this year, her ‘Walk between field days’ fundraiser will see her make pit-stops at Mingenew, Three Springs, Goomalling, Dowerin and Lake Grace before concluding the walk at the Newdegate Field Days at the start of September.

At each pit-stop, Ann is hoping to engage local schools and businesses, raise funds and awareness of how integral the RFDS is to daily life in WA’s vast and remote regions.

Ann is keen to smash her fundraising goal of $250,000 so if you’d like to help her reach her target after 13 years of fundraising, visit here to donate.
