RFDS Victoria has officially launched its new aeromedical simulator at the 2024 Sheepvention Rural Expo in Hamilton.
The aeromedical simulator is a major component of our Education Program, run by Captain Tom, who brings geography & history to life through stories of the Royal Flying Doctor Service - all the while giving schoolchildren and communities the opportunity to board a life-size replica of a Pilates PC-12.
Thank you to Major National Partner, Isuzu Ute Australia, for coming to celebrate the launch of the new simulator with us and to the team at Warrnambool Isuzu UTE (Clifton Baulch Motor Group).
We recognise the ongoing commitment of our partner Isuzu UTE Australia to keeping our education program on the road, allowing Captain Tom to share the work of the Flying Doctor to schools and communities across Victoria.
The Sheepvention Rural Expo brings together the rural communites at the heart of Victoria’s thriving agricultural industry. Sheepvention was a wonderful opportunity for RFDS Victoria to show our support for these communties at one of the largest agricultural shows in Victoria.
Also in attendance were committee members of the Hamilton Pastoral and Agricultural Society and local State Member for Lowan, Emma Kealy MP, who joined Captain Tom in the official ribbon cutting.
On the launch of the new simulator, Ms Kealy said “Thank you [Captain Tom] for educating that next generation of kids to be inspired to become those doctors and nurses".
A huge thank you to all members of the Hamilton and wider regional Victorian community who joined us to celebrate our new aeromedical simulator.
