The RFDS WA achieves accreditation

Date published

20 Aug 2024

We are proud to announce that the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Western Australia has achieved Nation Safety and Quality Service (NSQHS) Standards accreditation from the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS).

The NSQHS Standards were developed by the ACSHS to protect the public from harm and improve quality of healthcare.

The NSQHS assessment was completed on 17 June 2024, providing accreditation for a further three years. The assessment ran over four days and required four assessors to undergo an organisation wide survey at our five bases, and remote dental clinics.

The successful outcome of the survey reflects RFDS WA’s commitment to continual growth and excellence in safety and quality. Since the last assessment, a strong culture of safety and improvement across the RFDS WA has developed, as well as an effective implementation of internal and external communication, and partnerships with our patients and communities.

We are very proud to have successfully achieved accreditation against the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality NSQHS Standards and look forward to continuing to improve our quality of healthcare.
