On Valentine’s Day, we received a very special gift from our national partner TAL.
TAL have put in an outstanding effort to raise funds for defibrillators to keep hearts pumping in rural areas. To date, TAL have donated $112,185 which will enable us to purchase, implement and provide training for 80 new defibrillators in rural and remote areas across Australia.

In many situations, access to a defibrillator can be the difference between life and death for victims of sudden cardiac arrest. If effective CPR is given or a defibrillator is used within 3-5 minutes of cardiac arrest, survival chances increase from 6% to 74%.
Deaths from sudden cardiac arrest are preventable if the right tools are on hand and by increasing defibrillator access in rural and remote Australia we are saving lives and keeping Australia’s heart pumping.
