Having been long-term supporters of the RFDS, touring the Dubbo Base was an opportunity members of the Narellan Rotary Club.
For many of the Narellan members it was a first chance to see for themselves the work they have been supporting for many years.
When Narellan Rotary was founded 31 years ago, the club began looking to support charities and the RFDS was among those chosen.
It started with a vehicle in the Outback Car Trek, the annual charity car rally for the Flying Doctor, and now they are passionate supporters of our work.
While on the tour, the group had the chance to see the RFDS Dubbo Visitor Experience, go behind the scenes into the aviation hangar, and hear from Pilot Peter about some of his experiences.
It left a lasting impression, according to Narellan Rotary Club member Steve Maloney.
