Our interactive Visitor Experience, which celebrates the vital work of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, was officially launched on the 9th of October 2019.
The Deputy Premier, the Honourable John Barilaro officially opened the new Royal Flying Doctor Service Dubbo Visitor Experience, paying tribute to the men and women who provide essential medical services to people in remote and rural NSW.
“The Facility is a fantastic way to celebrate the inroads the Royal Flying Doctor Service has made in improving health outcomes for people in the outback, while also providing a tourism boost to the Central West, with tens of thousands of people expected to visit each year.”
The Visitor Experience in Dubbo is the first of its kind in Australia, featuring interactive exhibits and engaging experiences for young and old. Features include a unique cinematic experience, augmented reality, and the opportunity to explore the fuselage of a Royal Flying Doctor Service plane.
The Visitor Experience has now been open to the public for several months, with over 3,800 people already through the doors between September and November of 2019.
We have also seen several famous faces at the Visitor Experience including Mike Whitney and Kamahl. Early reviews have been extremely positive and we encourage you to visit if you haven’t had the chance yet!
