Women’s Health Services will resume in Hillston, through a partnership between the Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section and the NSW Rural Doctors Network.
The Women’s Health Services will resume at the Hillston Medical Centre commencing on April 26, 2023. Dr Kathryn Hutt will be the GP attending Hillston on behalf of the RFDS, once every 5 to 6 weeks.
RFDS Rural Women’s General Practice Coordinator Sheree Quinn said she was pleased the program could again provide services for the Riverina town, that is home to approximately 1500 people.
“The community had been very clear they wanted the service to return and for the RFDS it is about being able to provide that essential service that now allows women to see a female doctor,” Ms Quinn said.
“Dr Hutt has been a GP in Hillston previously so she knows the town, and people are very happy she is coming back.
“We’re very grateful for the support we have received from the NSW Rural Doctors Network. Their important funding has enabled us to bring this popular service back to the people of Hillston.”
Appointments for this service are essential and can be made by contacting the Hillston Medical Centre by phone on 02 6967 2198.
