We are now just a few months away from the 2023 Mundi Mundi Bash and as charity partner for the event we’re excited to say it’s a sell-out.
All 11,000 tickets have been snapped up, with the chance to see legendary acts including Icehouse, the Hoodoo Gurus, Human Nature, Pete Murray, The Waifs and Kate Ceberano are proving too good to miss out on.
After the excitement of the first two events in 2022, where thousands took part in fundraising activities including the Nutbush World Record Attempt and the Mundi Undi Run and raising almost $90,000 to enable us to provide healthcare in rural and remote areas.
The Nutbush has quickly become not just a great fundraiser for the Flying Doctor, but also a State of Origin-style rivalry between the Mundi Mundi Bash and the Big Red Bash in Birdsville. Queensland currently hold the record with 4,084 participants.
In August, we had a chance to show what NSW could do and we went so close to breaking the record, with more than 3,800 taking part. With a sell-out crowd already confirmed this year, it’s looking good for NSW to take that record.
RFDS Community Partnerships Senior Coordinator, Jennifer Mastras, said preparations are well under way for the three-day event which will run from 17th August – 19th August.
“We are so excited for what is going to be another amazing festival,” Ms Mastras said.
“Thank you to everyone who has made the 2023 event a sell-out, your generous support ensures the Flying Doctor can continue delivering the finest care to the furthest corners.”
“If you bought a ticket, we can’t wait to see you there in August," Ms Mastras added.
