Canberra Show attendees had the chance to see the work of the Royal Flying Doctor Service through its Mobile Education Unit.
An appearance by the Flying Doctor at the Royal Canberra Show was an opportunity to show a new audience how the RFDS provides life-saving healthcare in remote communities.
Utilising the Mobile Education Unit (MEU), a life-sized replica of a fuselage of an RFDS aircraft with a complete equipment fitout, thousands of attendees were given the chance to learn about our work.
Volunteers from the RFDS Dubbo Support Group joined RFDS fundraising representatives to talk about our primary healthcare initiatives as well as our famous aeromedical retrievals.
The volunteers accepted gold coin donations from people going through the MEU while our fundraisers were able to give people the opportunity to become regular givers and help with providing services to people who live, work and travel through regional, rural and remote areas.
We thank the Dubbo Support Group for the work they do and awareness they raise for our services.
