We are lucky to have state-of-the-art medical (and aviation) simulation facilities at our base in Dubbo.
This is where we put our new doctors and flight nurses through their paces during our famous induction weeks, but it's also where we regularly train and update our critical skills.
In addition, the sim centre is used multiple times each year for accredited courses such as CICO or ALS2. Having a full-time educator on site is a fantastic asset that we are very proud of - we run a rotating schedule of daily sims and education sessions, but are also able to offer training on demand to refresh skills in a certain area.
Our training mannequins are capable of full-scale immersive simulations, or just a simple manual skill review; they offer exposure to different airways, they arrest and vomit, and they even give birth.
