There's only one reason Hamish is here today. You!

Hamish is a seasoned motorcycling enthusiast whose outback experience inspired him to help others stay safe.

In July 2021, Hamish Noble had a serious motorbike accident near Cameron’s Corner, sustaining five broken ribs, a punctured lung, and a suspected ruptured spleen. Our Aeromedical Retrieval team treated him on-site and transported him to Dubbo Hospital, where he was cleared of internal injuries.

While recovering, Hamish reflected on the importance of medical care in isolated communities.

“I’ve worked in many remote areas and had to coordinate medical evacuations, but I’ve never been the patient. Until you’re the patient, you don’t realise how critical support is,” he shared.

Inspired by his experience, Hamish started a business in Mudgee, NSW, focused on improving safety for rural businesses and families.

To Hamish, the Royal Flying Doctor Service are “the angel of the sky because they give us that feeling that we are not out alone by ourselves. That if something serious does happen, we all do have a chance. And that’s why for our business now, that’s what we do.”

His team of seven operates across multiple states, ensuring safety equipment in remote communities remains in good condition. He also partners with Indigenous recruitment organisations, as community impact is central to his mission.

As Hamish says, “It was my accident and the help from the Flying Doctor that made me ask myself how can I do better by helping those in regional and remote communities. Growing up in the bush I have such a love and affiliation for the bush.”

Hamish is deeply grateful for the rapid critical care he received at Cameron’s Corner that is only possible through the support of people like you and credits this experience for inspiring his mission to help others stay safe in the bush.
