BSM

Base Support Roles

The Base Support teams are responsible for the efficient functioning of RFDS facilities across the state through the coordination of administrative, financial, operational activities and resources.

These roles assist the operational teams at the bases by ensuring timely and efficient administrative support, as well as accurate and prompt reporting and processing of financial, medical, and aviation information.

D&T

Digital & Technology

The Digital and Technology team is responsible for ensuring digital technologies are leveraged to create a secure, agile, responsive and innovative technology foundation within RFDS that is “fit for purpose” and keeps pace with the overarching business strategy, objectives and direction.

Their goal is to ensure staff have access to the systems and technologies to deliver operational services efficiently and effectively.

Fundraising & Philanthropy

The RFDS relies on fundraising, donations and corporate partnerships to deliver our life-saving services and to fund new aircraft, equipment and infrastructure.

With demand for our services increasing each year, the Fundraising and Philanthropy team continues to play a critical role in RFDS’s endeavour to improve health outcomes for those who live, work and travel in the bush.

CCA

Commercial & Corporate Affairs

The Commercial and Corporate Affairs team enhances the RFDS brand in Queensland by promoting the vital healthcare services that are provided to regional, rural and remote communities.

Through marketing campaigns, signature events and community engagement activities, the team works to raise awareness of the RFDS mission and the life-saving work carried out every day. The team also support commercial ventures such as Rescue Swag.

R&A

Risk & Assurance

The Risk and Assurance (R&A) team is comprised of a dedicated team of professionals whose activities keep our workers, contractors, visitors, guests and patients safe as we work together across Queensland.

The R&A team works collaboratively with all RFDS teams to meet and exceed regulatory requirements while also striving for continuous improvement, innovation and best practices in service delivery. The team have a focus on Workplace Health and Safety, Auditing, Aviation Safety and Environmental Sustainability. 

Clinical training

Clinical Governance

The Clinical Governance team ensures that RFDS deliver high-quality care by continuously improving services and safeguarding high standards.

It involves monitoring clinical performance, fostering a culture of safety, and ensuring that all staff are accountable for patient care. 

Through teamwork, audits, and feedback, Clinical Governance helps enhance patient outcomes and maintain trust in our healthcare services.

P&C

People & Culture

The People and Culture team provides essential support, assisting all areas of the organisation. 

With its people focused services, the team is very diverse, specialising in areas of recruitment and selection, employee experience, employee and industrial relations, payroll, wellness, learning and development.
