The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) (Queensland Section) is proud to announce the naming of a new King Air B360 aircraft as a show of gratitude for the on-going support of Mrs. Gina Rinehart AO and Hancock Prospecting.
The plane will carry the new title ‘Hancock Prospecting - Rinehart Medical Foundation’ and will operate out of the RFDS Brisbane Base.
Chief Executive Officer of RFDS (Queensland Section) Meredith Staib said it is fitting to have one of the organisation’s most generous supporters, recognised on one of the new state of the art aircraft.
“Mrs. Gina Rinehart has been a significant supporter of the services the RFDS provides across Australia and as recently as last year, gifted $4 million to go towards the RFDS (Queensland Section) Brisbane Aeromedical Base, amongst other states,” Ms. Staib said.
“While our grass roots supporters remain the lifeblood of our organisation, we are very appreciative of the type of philanthropic commitment shown by Mrs. Rinehart through Hancock Prospecting and the Rinehart Medical Foundation.
“This level of financial generosity enables the RFDS to continue to provide the finest care to the furthest corner.”
