Further strengthening its connection to rural and regional Queensland, leading Australian energy company Jemena has become an official corporate supporter of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) with a generous donation of $30,000.
“Through our gas pipeline operations and projects, Jemena has enjoyed strong connections with communities across Southern and Central Queensland for quite some time” Jemena Managing Director, Frank Tudor said.
“As well as offering local growth and job opportunities, we believe in doing what we can to enhance the welfare and wellbeing of our customers, community members and people who live and work locally.
“This support is a direct recognition of the critical role the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) play in providing 24/7 emergency and health care services to millions of people across the State.
“We look forward to continuing to support the RFDS for years to come”
RFDS (Queensland Section) Chief Executive Officer, Meredith Staib said support such as this ensured the Flying Doctor could continue serving Queenslanders well into the future.
“Contributions from corporate supporters such as Jemena help us raise more than $16 million each year to provide the aircraft and equipment that is necessary to carry out the crucial work of the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Queensland.” Mrs Staib said.
“We are delighted to welcome Jemena as an RFDS Queensland Section corporate supporter. Their generous support will ensure we can remain in the skies and in the communities that need our services the most.”
