The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) has extended its longstanding Principal Partner agreement with the QCoal Foundation and QCoal Group.
Now entering its 14th year, the collaboration has been instrumental in supporting the RFDS’s critical healthcare services across Queensland, ensuring that life-saving care reaches even the most remote communities.
The untied funding commitment has supported a range of RFDS initiatives, including infrastructure, training programs, and the RFDS Dental Service, of which QCoal Foundation is a =Founding Partner.
RFDS (Queensland Section) Chief Executive Officer Meredith Staib said the continued support from QCoal Foundation and QCoal Group has been pivotal in allowing the Flying Doctor to reach Queenslanders in the most isolated and challenging environments.
“The support from QCoal Foundation and QCoal Group over the past 14 years has been nothing short of extraordinary,” Ms Staib said.
“Their commitment has allowed us to adapt, innovate, and continue to provide essential healthcare to those who need it most.
“We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing partnership, which plays a crucial role in enabling us to deliver our services across Queensland.”
QCoal Foundation Chair and QCoal Group Managing Director Christopher Wallin said the extension of the partnership was a proud and key contribution from both organisations.
“The essential life-saving work of the RFDS has significantly evolved throughout the lifespan of our partnership,” Mr Wallin said.
“The RFDS are often the first and only healthcare provider for many people across our state, and we proudly play a role in supporting them.
“The flexibility of this funding allows the RFDS to direct our funds to those programs that require support, and we are very pleased to continue as a Principal Partner.”
