Healthy Outback Communities

The RFDS (Queensland Section) is working in collaboration with the Healthy Outback Communities (HOC) Alliance members including the Western Queensland Primary Health Network (WQPHN), to ensure people receive the right care at the right time, closer to where they live.

The Healthy Outback Communities (HOC) approach is about prioritising community health and wellbeing, through improving access to services, reducing the need for hospital visits, and working to prevent long-term health issues.

A new Virtual Health and Wellbeing Hub has been launched for HOC communities.

If you live in the Boulia, Diamantina and Barcoo Shires, you can now book an appointment with your HOC Wellbeing Practitioner (RFDS) to create a Personal Wellbeing Plan tailored to your needs.

More information about HOC can be found here.
