To Dr Wyllie... the RFDS is the pride he feels to help Territorians in their time of need.

Dr Peter Wyllie - MRaCC

Hear from Dr Peter Wyllie as he explains the strategic partnership between NT Health’s Medical Retrieval and Consultation Centre (MRaCC) and the Royal Flying Doctor Service – forming the Central Australian Retrieval Service.

In Central Australia, critical care doctors like Dr Wyllie from MRaCC based at Alice Springs Hospital, offer 24/7 phone support to coordinate and prioritise RFDS crews for Territorians and tourists in need.

When a patient is critically ill, these specialist doctors from Alice Springs Hospital accompany RFDS aeromedical crews to deliver care.

Together, MRaCC and RFDS deliver the finest care to over 2,500 Territorians and tourists every year – eight patients a day.
