Renowned Australian car dealership Peter Kittle Motor Company recently guaranteed its commitment to rural and remote health and wellbeing, signing a new three-year agreement with RFDS SA/NT.
Founded in 1988 in Tennant Creek and Alice Springs before expanding across South Australia and Victoria, the Peter Kittle Motor Company has operated in many of the same areas as RFDS SA/NT.
RFDS SA/NT’s connection with the Peter Kittle Motor Company started with a donation in 1999 and evolved into a formal partnership in 2007.
This week, it was announced the company had elevated its investment to major sponsorship level for the next three years.
“Growing up in Alice Springs, I saw some of the differences in facilities and infrastructure that we get growing up in a small rural town, compared to the cities,” Peter Kittle Motor Company CEO Andrew Kittle said.
“We believe that no matter where you are in Australia, you should have access to world class health infrastructure and treatment.
“Being able to contribute in a very small part to what the RFDS does on a daily basis is something that we’re really proud of as a family and a company.”
In recognition of the major sponsorship, the medically-equipped RFDS SA/NT aircraft VH-FXZ, otherwise known as ‘Zulu’, will bear the Peter Kittle Motor Company brand on its fuselage.
In just more than six years of service, Zulu has:
- flown more than 1.6 million kilometres;
- undertaken more than 2,800 flights; and
- airlifted almost 4,500 patients in South Australia and the Northern Territory.
“Our aircraft, Zulu, bearing the Peter Kittle Motor Company badge, will continue to support our crews across South Australia and the Territory to assist a patient every 10 minutes,” RFDS SA/NT Chief Executive Tony Vaughan ASM said.
“Our crews may respond to a life-threatening medical emergency, or they may be delivering life-extending primary health care, oral health care, mental health services or family care.
