Congratulations to all involved with the RFDS Tasmania dental program which won its category at the Launceston Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards held in Launceston on Saturday, October 27, 2018.
RFDS Tasmania won the Building Communities Award (sponsored by Regional Development Australia Tasmania and Foot & Playsted) and the award was accepted by Mobile Dental Care manager Nicole Henty on behalf of the dental team.
The organisation was also a finalist in the inaugural Health Entrepreneur Award for its Primary Health Care Program (funded by the Tasmanian Government).
RFDS Tasmania chair Malcolm White said that the award for dental was well deserved by its hard working and dedicated dental team which is improving the lives of hundreds of people around the state.
“Our core aim is to improve health outcomes for all Tasmanians who find themselves at a disadvantage due to issues such as limited transport, economics, ill-health and poor support structure which in turn leads to disengagement from services.
“It is wonderful to have the wider business community recognise the efforts of The Royal Flying Doctor Service Tasmania,” he said.
