After many months of hard work by our Dental and Quality teams, the Flying Doctor Dental Clinic has today achieved its National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (National Standards) accreditation under the second edition of the standards.
The assessment took place this week, and included site visits to Richmond, Mitcham, Omeo and Foster. Impressively, the assessor passed the service without issuing any recommendations.
“This is an outstanding result for a service being assessed for the first time,” says Cassie Moore, RFDS Victoria Quality and Impact Manager.
There are very few dental clinics in Australia that have achieved the National Standards, so for Flying Doctor Dental Clinic to have attained this result is a true testament to the teams’ commitment and dedication to patient safety and delivering a high quality service.
“This shows the remarkable amount of sustained work put in by both teams over the past 12 months,” says Melanie Trivett, General Manager, Primary Health Care.
This is an incredible result for RFDS Victoria, for the Flying Doctor Dental Clinic and for every single team member who participated in the audit and who worked on this project.
