The Royal Flying Doctor Service in WA is delighted to welcome Westgold Resources as our newest major partner. Westgold Resources CEO Debbie Fullarton visited the RFDS Jandakot base this week to meet some of the crew and see them in action.
Westgold is an Australian gold producer with operations in the Central Murchison region. CEO Debbie Fullarton said the safety and wellbeing of Westgold’s people and communities are an important priority for the company.
‘The Flying Doctor provides a vital service in the regions where our employees and communities live and work every day,” said Debbie.
‘We have witnessed first-hand how the RFDS responds to emergencies in remote WA and it makes perfect sense for us to support this service.’
‘Westgold Resources is excited to be partnering with the RFDSWA to bring world-class medical care to remote communities. We thank the Flying Doctor for their unwavering dedication and service to the wellbeing of people in the outback, including our own workers in the Murchison region.”
Royal Flying Doctor Service Western Operations Chief Executive Officer Rebecca Tomkinson said the three year partnership would enable the RFDSWA to deliver even greater levels of care across the State.
‘It is incredibly reassuring to know we are backed by WA companies that clearly understand the important role the RFDS plays in the lives of their employees and their families when they need us most,’ Rebecca said.
It has been an extraordinary year with record levels of activity for the Flying Doctor in Western Australia and we place great emphasis on our supporters from the community and corporate donations to keep the Flying Doctor in the air. Thank you Westgold Resources for your critical support, which will help the RFDSWA provide the finest care to the furthest corners of Western Australia.
