At the Kimberley Pilbara Cattlemen’s Association (KPCA) conference held in Broome last month almost $25,000 was raised for the Royal Flying Doctor Service WA and Dolly’s Dream.
The annual conference was attended by around 230 delegates with key topics such as biosecurity, carbon and mental health covered. During the Elders Ladies Lunch and Red Range Stock Supplements Gala Dinner, delegates dug deep to raise funds for the RFDS WA.
Dr Kieran Hennelly, General Manager Clinical Services from the RFDS WA, gave an address during the Gala Dinner and shared the WA Flying Doctor story.
Dr Hennelly said it was terrific for the RFDS WA to be one of the recipients for funds raised during the conference.
“We are very thankful for funds raised by the KPCA which will help to ensure RFDS WA is ready to provide the best possible care for current and future generations of regional patients in WA,” Dr Hennelly said.
In the last year, RFDS WA crews flew around 4.6 million km to retrieve almost 6,000 patients from the Kimberley, Pilbara and Mid-West region for definitive care.
