The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Western Australia relies on the support of generous donors to ensure we can continue to provide life-saving care to 28 people every day across Western Australia, that’s why we have changed banks to allow for easier, safer and more convenient ways to donate.
What’s changed?
We have changed banks to provide you with more options and better security when donating to the RFDS in WA. This includes more convenient ways to donate coming soon, including BPAY, PayID, Apple Pay, and PayPal. We are still accepting cheques.
Why has it changed?
We know times are changing, and the closure of regional bank branches has made banking more challenging for many of our supporters.
Our new banking partner, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, is dedicated to serving regional communities and offering more ways to donate.
What do I need to do?
If you make donations to the RFDS via phone, website, or mail you don’t need to change anything – we’ve got it covered.
If you make donations via bank transfer or direct deposit, please update to our new banking details.

Important updates for our Support Crew
Our generous Support Crew donors will not need to take any action – the direct deposit process will update automatically. However, there are some changes to be aware of:
- The processing date of your regular donation is changing to the 15th of each month, effective March 2025.
- Your bank statement will show our new CBA account details from your February payment.
