Celebrating NAIDOC Week
NAIDOC Week is a time to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebration of the oldest, continuous living culture on earth.
This NAIDOC Week, the foyer at our Jandakot base has been transformed into a gallery-style display of various indigenous artworks by artists from across Western Australia. The artwork collection is kindly on loan from Marianne Testi and will be on display for the month of July.
Marianne is RFDS WA’s longest-serving Flight Nurse of more than 30 years and was recently recognised as WA’s Rural Nurse/Midwife of the Year.
We encourage everyone to get involved in local NAIDOC events
