Personnel & Recruitment

RFDS WA employs highly experienced Paramedics, Nurses, and Emergency Services Officers in its Industrial Health Team. This team currently operates across several sites in Western Australia and the Northern Territory. These sites cover a range of different industrial activities and include mine sites, exploration sites, onshore production, and offshore platforms. Services includes both medical and emergency response capabilities delivered with the highest standards within the Industrial Health sector.

Medical Chests

Medical chests are lockable steel containers comprising a wide range of medicines, which enable emergency and non-emergency treatment for people living and working in extreme isolation from professional medical care.

Telehealth

The telehealth service provides direct consultations with RFDS WA doctors. Medical advice may include prescribing and guiding treatments administered by the caller utilising either RFDS WA Medical Chest contents or supplies held and managed under our poison permit.

Poison Permits and Medication Management

The RFDS WA is capable of securing, maintaining and regulating the poison permit for projects in accordance with legal requirements which include ordering, transport, storage, administration, recordkeeping, disposal and destruction, as defined in the Medicines and Poisons Act 2014 and regulations 2016 relevant to Western Australia.
