Can I bring my family?
Yes, we strongly encourage you to bring your family! The relocation assistance provided by the RFDS WA includes coverage for your dependents, which are defined as your spouse and children under 18 years of age living with you. The RFDS WA may also assist with relevant visa arrangements for you and your dependents if required.
Can I bring my pet?
The RFDS WA does not cover the costs of relocating your pet. However, your pets are welcome at most RFDS-assisted accommodation.
What assistance is available for relocating?
The RFDS WA provides relocation assistance to help cover some of the expenses associated with moving for a job. This includes travel arrangements, household packaging, removal, and shipment of belongings, and temporary storage.
Do I need furniture?
The relocation assistance includes the cost of packing and removing furniture, household goods, and personal effects. You can bring your existing furniture with you, and the RFDS WA will assist with the logistics and costs associated with its transportation.
How long will I be in one location?
You are required to stay at the new location for a minimum period of two years to qualify for relocation assistance. However, if you are required to relocate again due to a promotion or another reason initiated by the organisation, you may be covered.
