The Outback Car Trek >
Congratulations to all involved in the The Outback Car Trek, which was a huge success again this year in raising funds for the RFDS nationally.
A very special shout out to 'Team Cobber' (David Meyer, David Thamm, Jack Doyle, John Cummins, Michael McCourt and Scott Clarke) who were the highest fundraising team.
They raised an incredible $120,000 in support of the RFDS SA/NT – an extraordinary effort.
Renmark Rovers >
The Renmark Rovers A-Grade team looked schmick in their special edition Flying Doctor guernseys for their annual charity round.
Thanks to everyone who donated and got around the guernsey auction – together the club raised around $10,000.
Long Lunch for Lewis >
The Bruhn family held their third 'Lewis Long Lunch' this month, in memory of their late son and brother, who tragically lost his life in a vehicle accident in Far North SA in 2013.
In three years, the Bruhns have raised more than $90,000 for the RFDS to help protect other outback families.
"2023 marks 10 years since Lewis' passing so it is greatly significant to our family. Leon, Molly and I are still very passionate about raising funds for this amazing service in memory of our beautiful son and brother, Lewis,” said Deb Bruhn.

Tatiara’s record donation >
Making front page news in the Border Chronicle in August was the RFDS Tatiara Support Group's record annual donation of $65,000.
The work of the team in Keith who run a second-hand goods shop, as well as monthly garage sales, contributed significantly to the fundraising effort.
“Without the support of the community and our dedicated volunteers, none of this would be possible,” said Tatiara Support Group President, Grid Hubl.

The RFDS team in the Top End has been busy engaging with local community at some of the dry season’s best events.
We were thrilled to have so many families drop by, chat to our team and explore the RFDS simulator at both the Deadly Cup Rugby League Carnival and the Royal Darwin Show.
Flying Doctor Race Day >
It was another fantastic day at the Flying Doctor Race Day in Port Augusta.
A big thanks to Port Augusta Racing Club, Port Augusta Racecourse and the local community for their amazing support.

The RFDS is excited to be back at the Royal Adelaide Show from 2-10 September.
Step inside a full-scale replica of the fuselage of an RFDS PC-12 aircraft and check out the live flight tracker to see where RFDS planes are flying across the country in real-time.
For just a gold coin donation, you can sit in the pilot's seat and wander through the cabin of our 'flying intensive care unit'.
You'll find us inside Jubilee Pavilion, so come and say g'day to the RFDS team!
Border Dash >
If you're road trippin' across the SA-WA Border in October, make sure you get involved in the iconic Border Dash.
The team at Border Village Roadhouse is excited to host the 33rd annual event on Saturday 14 October – aiming to raise more than $10,000 for the RFDS and Silverchain.
Kicking off at 8am at the Eucla Motel, participants will dash 13 kilometres back across the border to Border Village Roadhouse.
