The RFDS extends its deepest condolences to the family of one of the Flying Doctor's most dedicated supporters, Mr Frank England OAM.
Frank passed away in November, aged 89 years.
A farmer from South Australia’s South East, Frank was a quiet contributor to his local community – in so many ways – as well as a major donor and friend of the Flying Doctor since 1992.
His early RFDS donations directly funded the medical interior of a Pilatus PC-12 aeromedical aircraft (call sign: VH-FVF) – a cumulative contribution that was honoured by an aircraft plaque dedication in 2011.
In 2014, the Flying Doctor also dedicated its boardroom in Frank’s honour at the former RFDS Adelaide headquarters, which later transferred to the current aeromedical base when it opened in 2016.
Frank was a dearly loved partner of Margaret (dec); a treasured brother to Joan, Elsie, Lynn, Ralph and Leo; and a father figure of Ian and Leanne, Marie, Barry, Beverley and their families.
We are humbled to acknowledge Frank’s contribution supporting thousands of South Australians over his lifetime of giving.
Rest in peace, Frank.
