RFDS Central Operations is looking to partner with volunteers from the local community to help shape an approach to health care that puts patients at the centre of everything we do.
We are looking to welcome volunteers from all walks of life (not just with a medical background) who are based in regional, rural and remote South Australia and the Northern Territory.
You will meet regularly with the Flying Doctor and like-minded volunteers via video conferencing to provide advice, direction and advocacy for the planning and delivery of RFDS services.
You may be asked to:
• provide feedback and identify opportunities where the RFDS can better meet consumer and community needs
• participate in relevant forums to provide a patient perspective
• review written information provided to patients and consumers to ensure they are inclusive and relevant for their intended audience
• assist in developing and monitoring measures for service safety quality and accessibility
This is a unique opportunity to bring your energy, skills and engagement to advocate on behalf of individuals and communities that have access to RFDS Central Operations health care.
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, please email the RFDS Stakeholder Relations Specialist at melanie.reid@flyingdoctor.net.
